Peak Arts Prize Winner

I am lucky and proud to announce that I have won the 2019 Peak Arts Prize in the Individual Artist category. Winners were chosen by a public vote after 9 finalists--3 in each category--were chosen by a panel of professional judges in February. You can see all the winners at https://www.PeakArtsPrize.org/Results
Visit my Farewell to Bees page for details on the gallery show plus photos and videos.
Peak Arts Prize funds projects that amplify local arts to new audiences. It is a program of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, funded by The Fund for the Arts, a fund of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation. Video applications were accepted at PeakArtsPrize.org from January 10 – February 10, and attracted 33 applicants. The 9 finalists advancing to public vote were chosen by a panel of four expert judges whose bios appear at www.PeakArtsPrize.org/Rules. Peak Arts Prize is a prototype program, funded for 2018 and 2019.

"Millie" (my wife's nickname for the piece) on display at Art 111 Gallery & Art Supply for the Farewell to Bees show..

My goal

Create art that moves people. It's a simple philosophy. I want my clients to feel the same joy they had when they first saw the piece I created for them every time they look at it. And for them to want to share that feeling with their friends, family and neighbors.
For my art in public spaces,
I want the design to move the passersby, not merely be a backdrop. I want to make them feel something visceral, to stop and interact with the pieces, when possible, and to keep thinking about them after they have moved on.

Custom projects welcome

Do you have an idea for a piece?
Want a piece of art for a specific location or with a theme that has special meaning in your life?
Almost anything is possible, we just need to talk through the details.

I will work with you or your landscape designer to make your vision a reality.

Most mediums

I have worked in bronze, steel, concrete, plaster, acrylics, ceramic, pencil, wood, ink and digital formats. The medium I choose is dependent upon the project's final goal and doesn't always reflect a specific discipline.
